If you’ve ever seen me in person, you know I don’t blitz through a room. Instead, I stroll around a room, shaking hands, saying hello while I offer smiles and laughter. It’s my way of showing that I care.

It can be a very busy room when I am laughing with my “Young at Hearts” in retirement homes or nursing homes or at corporate world, lunch n’ learns, break out sessions or offering my Awakening to the Happiness Journey Series. These moments of personal connectedness are worth the pauses. People want to know that the leaders they follow can be trusted and cares about them as individuals, not just as tools to help realize a vision. When your laughing with others, it opens up our hearts to be more heart centered and trustworthy.

Taking this extra time also engages me to stop and listen. How can you add value to people if you don’t know them and understand what they want? So I slow down to listen, connect, talk and laugh.
By following this practice I not only help others to grow, laugh and be more joyful, I establish a caring culture across all levels of organizations.
According to the International Personnel Management Association, service providers (leaders) who engage with their audience on a personal level increase productivity by 22%, while a combination of role modeling and coaching increases overall health and stamina by 88% to 400%.

Mentor your audience by showing them how you seek guidance on your own endless quest for self-improvement by sharing your story and allowing them to share as well.

Everything we do throughout our lives is a choice. Although we are told that it is our minds that determine what course of action we take, it is really our hearts.

In conclusion, my vision by leading and coaching others to reach their potential, is to increase my own self guidance system.

May the laughter be with you, always!
Love Kathryn
